Introducing Our Newest Clinic
Active Health Clinics newest clinic is now officially open! We’ve opened our doors to the public and gym members within the elite performance facility Move HQ, located in Winnersh Triangle business park.
We’re particularly thrilled to have a clinic in Move HQ as it provides us with an incredible opportunity to treat alongside a like minded team who believe in the importance of moving well, often and in the right way.
A huge benefit of having a clinic here is that it allows our team to use the facility’s expert equipment to aid our patients in their recovery. Being based here truly revolutionises the level of care and attention we’re able to offer you inside and outside the treatment rooms.
We’ll be able to take you through rehabilitation exercises, stretches and techniques in a space designed to give you all the room you need to move. We’ll also have access to specialist rehabilitation equipment such as the AlterG treadmill. This allows patients to move in new ways and without pain – to recover mobility, improve wellness, and enhance physical performance.
About The Clinic
You’ll find our clinic situated on the 2nd floor of MoveHQ (Don’t worry, there’s an accessible lift available for when your back is playing up). Here you’ll find our 3 brand new state of the art treatment rooms, a comfortable open plan waiting room and Move HQ’s modern cafe and lounge area where you can grab yourself a coffee if you have a bit of spare time beforehand.
Getting here couldn’t be easier – the business park has its own dedicated train station (Winnersh Triangle), regular bus routes from Reading and almost direct access by car from the M4 J10.There’s also plenty of onsite parking available. So getting a space will not be a problem.
The Team & Treatments
We’ve hand picked an incredible team to head up the treatments available at Active Health Clinics Winnersh. You’ll recognise some faces from Maidenhead and meet some new ones!
Steve Mullan graduated as a chiropractor from the McTimoney Chiropractic College, Abingdon, where he received a degree in chiropractic. He is accredited by the General Chiropractic Council (GCC) and is a member of the United Chiropractic Association (UCA).
Dr. Dan Michael joined Active Health Clinics in October 2022 having spent 6 years of practice in America at NW Sports Rehab, a communities-based clinic in Seattle, which successfully doubles as one of Washington State’s leading sports clinics, supporting the NFL’s Seattle Seahawks among other top sports organisations.
Originally from South Devon, Freya graduated with a master’s degree from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic near Cardiff. She is accredited by the General Chiropractic Council (GCC) and is a member of the British Chiropractic Association (BCA).
Freya’s approach is holistic and patient-centred. You will be at the centre of her care by treating the cause of the problem and not just the symptoms. She tailors each treatment plan specifically to the problems your body is presenting and what you want to achieve from her care.
Offering sports massage in an elite sports performance facility is a perfect match. But remember, sports massage is not just for athletes! It has huge benefits to the general public who may not be as active as a professional tennis player or olympic weightlifter.
Treating between Maidenhead and Winnersh, George will be available for booking. He has recently achieved one of the highest levels you can get in sports massage therapy. Using a wide range of the latest techniques, George is able to offer a patient specific approach to treatment, getting you the best outcome possible. George will be available Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons for massage treatment at our winnersh clinic.
Jumaane will also be treating between Maidenhead and Winnersh. His rich background in working with athletes makes him a prime candidate for our Winnersh clinic. With experience in a wide range of sports from rugby, basketball and American football, Jumaane has a passion for helping people prevent and overcome injuries. Jumaane will be available Tuesday and Wednesday throughout the day and Friday afternoons.
Laura will be available at Winnersh for nutritional therapy appointments. Laura’s philosophy is based on the belief that by understanding how foods affect your energy, mood and general wellbeing, you can make changes to your health that are sustainable and achievable. Laura uses Functional Medicine principles to get to the root cause of health issues for each client, and then creates a tailored programme, teaching them how to understand food and its impact on health.
