Excellent chiropractic care – Steve Mullan really knows his stuff, personally tailored care and doesn’t run any of those expensive, depersonalised, conveyor-belt treatment plans!

I received a treatment from Steve at Active Health Clinics for a long standing issue with my hamstring. Steve is professional and really cares about his patients. He took the time to properly understand the cause of my issue and work with me to try and resolve it. I came away from the treatment feeling relief from an ache I have been feeling for some time. I also left with a comprehensive set of exercises to try and work towards fixing myself for my next race.

Threw my lower back out tidying up after my 2 year old! Reception went the extra mile to get me booked in promptly, felt so much better after my first appointment with Steve, who also recommended stretches to keep the pain at bay! On to strengthening my lower back (body rather) with Stuart now so I don’t run the risk of this happening again. I couldn’t recommend this place enough, they really take the time to tailor your recovery.

To my surprise there’s a beauticians upstairs to if you want to squeeze in a quick manicure afterwards! Great excuse to keep in touch with this friendly bunch, thanks for all your help guys!

I’d been to another clinic local to me for years but they hadn’t ever got to the bottom of what was causing me on-going issues. One session with Dr Steve Mullan and the answers became a lot clearer and after a few sessions, I was feeling as good as new and playing football again pain free. I visited for the first time this week to have a massage on my back – I was getting some lower back ache. I was very impressed with the whole process. It was a reasonable price (£30 for 30 mins), I was able to get an appointment the next day and Stuart who gave me the massage was excellent – he was friendly and applied just the right amount of pressure. And it did the job – my back feels at lot better!

Thanks to the regular Chiropractic treatments at this clinic, I was able to improve drastically my life quality to a point where a surgery is no longer necessary!

I recently visited Active Health Clinics for the first time, having developed quite a lot of pain with my lower back and left calf muscle while training for a 10k. This was my first treatment with a chiropractor and I was quite anxious not knowing what to expect – I needn’t have worried! Steve was excellent and personable, spending plenty of time on a proper assessment of the problem(s). He somehow managed to sort my back out within a few minutes and nearly all of the pain had gone. He also did a treatment on the calf and showed me some tailored exercises to strengthen my ankle and improve foot positioning. I left the appointment feeling not only physically better but also having something to put into practice at home and at the gym! The clinic itself has a lovely feel to it from the moment you walk in, which helps to put you at ease; I would definitely recommend it to others. Thanks again.

I started visiting Steve as I was getting bad back pain, he has since given me exercises and treatment resulting in the pain decreasing majorly since my first appointment.

I also see Clare for acupuncture and Kay for homeopathy as I was getting regular head aches and migraines, both of them have worked as a team managing to reduce the amount of migraines and headaches I am getting.

All three practitioners have worked together to come up with a plan on how to reduce my pain in a constructive and efficient way which has suited me perfectly making sure I am aware and understand the treatment process leaving me feeling very comfortable with their treatment.

He really understands his patients, their lifestyles and works with them to tailor treatments and exercises for them with that in mind.
