At Active Health Clinics, it’s our aim to provide quality care to our patients and use our clinical time fairly and effectively.
To ensure this is achieved, we have a reasonable Appointment Cancellation and Missed Appointment Policy in place.
Cancelling Or Moving Your Appointment
We ask that you contact us with at least 24 hours notice if you need to move or cancel an appointment.
Many of our practitioners have a high demand for appointments. 24 hours gives us enough time to make alternative arrangements, offer the appointment time to a patient on the waiting list, and manage the practitioner’s diaries effectively.
Please note, cancellations should be made by telephone or email.
If 24 hours notice is not given
Kindly be advised that if you are unable to provide 24 hours notice, or failure to present for a scheduled appointment we reserve the right to charge ‘cancellation or late payment fee’ as outlined at the bottom of the page.
If you do not attend your appointment, and we have had no prior communication with you, it’s our aim to telephone or write to you after a missed appointment.
This is so we can understand the reason for non-attendance and to inform you about any fees you may incur.
We understand that cancellations and missed appointments are sometimes unavoidable due to illness or emergencies. We will wholeheartedly take account of all valid circumstances. In the case of extenuating circumstances, a patient may appeal the cancellation charge by contacting our Practice Manager, Reka Krizso, on firstname.lastname@example.org.
Running Late For An Appointment
If you are running late for your appointment, please make us aware by phone as soon as possible. We will endeavour to do what we can to ensure your appointment goes ahead.
Please be aware that the late arrival may result in a shortened or cancelled appointment.
If your appointment is cancelled, this will result in being charged a cancellation fee with less than 24 hours notice as outlined below.
Cancellation Charges and Late Arrival Fees
24 hours or more notice – You will incur no fee for cancelling or moving your appointment with 24 hours or more notice.
Less than 24 hours notice – We reserve the right to charge for the full price of your appointment.
